Violet Evergarden (unpopular opinion but I didn't really find this show to be intriguing. Anohana (left me devastated by the end.no words) Grave of The Fireflies (please dont hate me for this, I'd been spoiled and basically after watching it I was like 'ya that was what I expected) A Silent Voice (emotional, however not that sad- had be invested in the characters and hooked throughout) Your Name (classic and somewhat sad, I find the movie to be more uplifting than depressing) I Want To Eat You Pancreas (very sad-didn't fucking see that coming and was connected to the characters!- probably one of my favorites) Your Lie In April (very sad-that ending really got me) Here are the animes I've watched already and my sad ranking on them:
